2013 Fantasy Football Top 10

With the finale of the 2012 NFL football season happening this weekend, it is time to look ahead to the 2013 season. Sure, we have March Madness and the MLB season ahead, but we all know that we will be salivating for a new football season as soon as this weekend's leftovers are eaten. I would normally wait a bit before making any projections, but, barring any offseason injuries, I don't expect any changes. The college crop may be talented, but no one will crack the Top 10 at any position. Retirement may affect one set of rankings and it is not WR. Take it from Joe Flacco that having confidence in yourself as a top talent is motivation to play up to your potential. Too bad that wasn't always enough for Randy Moss. He is very good, but hardly Top 5 material, let alone the Greatest Receiver of all time. He needs to admit that to be the greatest, you have to always use your talent. He quit on more teams than he helped. Accept your place and be happy with it. Kim Kardashian accepted the fact that she is nothing but a porn actress and it has worked out well for her.

I am actually talking about Tony Gonzalez. I would have loved to see him in the Super Bowl. This guy is what Randy Moss never was; a true professional that always made his team better when he stepped on the field, even when his team was bad. I actually penned a prediction that he would lose a step this year and limp into retirement. HA! He was still a force. I am putting him in my Top 10 TEs for 2013 and really hope he comes back and gives it one last run at that elusive Super Bowl. They were SOOOOOOO close this year.

Top 10 Overall
1. Adrian Peterson (No brainer)
2. Arian Foster (Not a bad consolation prize)
3. Drew Brees (5000 yards and 40 TDs without Payton)
4. Aaron Rodgers (wins too many games single-handedly to pass on)
5. Doug Martin (will really be solid if TB gets consistent QB play)
6. Marshawn Lynch (Beast Mode will be even more motivated n 2013)
7. Alfred Morris (changed Shanahan to a one-back coach)
8. Ray Rice (#6 in PPR leagues)
9. Jamal Charles (will benefit from new offense in 2013)
10. Calvin Johnson (the TDs need to return!)
